Born on October 7, 1955, in Verona (Italy), Claudio Gugerotti was ordained a priest in 1982 for the Diocese of Verona. A member of the Pious Society of Don Nicola Mazza, he holds a degree in Oriental languages and literature from the University Ca' Foscari of Venice, a doctorate in Eastern ecclesiastical sciences from the Pontifical Oriental Institute, as well as a licentiate in sacred liturgy from the Pontifical Athenaeum Saint Anselm.
